Calling for Experienced Volunteers!
Would you like to be a part of improving the life of an 82 year old veteran? Habitat will be partnering with team Rubicon, a disaster response volunteer organization, to roof and side a home allowing the homeowner to age in place. We need experienced volunteers and leaders to help support groups during a September 15th and 22nd. If interested, please contact us ASAP! Let's serve him as the homeowner has served the us.

Get to Know your AmeriCorps!
My name is Hannah Ferguson; I studied engineering at the University of Alaska, where I enjoyed commercial fishing in the summers, xc skiing and snowshoeing in the winter, and hiking/backpacking all year. Through Engineers without Borders in my hometown of Flint, Michigan, I lead a joint project with Habitat for Humanity to design and disperse sink attachments for filtration systems to help the Flint community gain access to clean water, which inspired me to do more work with Habitat through Americorps. After completing my first AmeriCorps term in Seattle, Washington as a construction crew leader, I decided to do a second year with the Central Berkshire Habitat. I am excited to be serving here as a Construction Systems Development VISTA.
